These are full time jobs for detail oriented people with the ability to work independently.
We are looking for experienced machinists, but, we are willing to train the right people.

Job duties include being able to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.
Read and understand engineering drawings and routing’s.
Meet and exceed job time requirements in an efficient manner.

Experience with use of precision instruments, gauges, tools, basic math and problem solving skills.

Follow safety directives, wear eye and ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
Physically able to lift over 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and working in an environment that may be exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.

Saw Operator

The Carlson Company in Park City Kansas has has an opening available for Saw Operator in our machine shop.
This is a full time jobs for detail oriented people with the ability to work independently.

The primary duties and responsibilities are setting up and operating a power saw to cut metal, making adjustments for each job.
You must have the ability to choose and install blades on machinery using hand-tools and verify dimensions of finished material using measuring devices.
(heavy lifting will be required).
Maintains equipment and ensures work area is clean and safe at all times.
Operate equipment safely.
Follow safe operating and lifting procedures.
Operate forklift or Crane according to safe operating procedures.

ASSEMBLY WORKERS

Current opening for a Machine shop Assembly worker.
The primary function of the Assembly department is to perform all necessary assembly routines before and after equipment has been painted.
Assembly supports the manufacturing team in our machine shop. Duties will include cleaning and assembly of product and miscellaneous production duties as required.
Previous manufacturing assembly experience preferred, but we will be willing to train the right person.
Skills needed include the ability to Read and interpret blueprint detail drawings. Use shop paperwork to complete machine assembly. Using hand tools to install purchase parts and sub-assemblies (heavy lifting may be required). Update paperwork to reflect any changes.

INSPECTOR

MACHINE SHOP INSPECTOR

The Carlson Company in Park City Kansas has an immediate job opening for an Inspector in our machine shop.
This is a full time position.

The Machine Shop Inspector is responsible for performing visual, dimensional and functional inspections in accordance with “In-Process” inspection procedures. Dimensionally inspecting product utilizing various measuring devices. Work independently supporting quality in shop, assembly and engineering.
Knowledge of basic machining and machining practices.

Knowledge of optical measurement systems and measurement techniques.
Understanding of mechanical design practices and standard hardware.
Able to record and maintain records related to the quality process.

Inspect work in all phases of the process including but not limited to manufacturing and assembly.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly documentation.

Responsible for inspecting the quality of work produced and verifying that it meets in house standards.
Required to work closely with machine shop personnel, engineers and assembly technicians to maintain quality products.

Follow safety directives, wear eye and ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
Physically able to lift over 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and working in an environment that may be exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.

Ability to use computers for generating reports, keeping records and communication.
One to three years of quality or related experience in a factory environment is preferred.

Must be at least 18 years old. You must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. This is a Full time position with benefits and the possibility of overtime.
