ENCLOSED SPRING APPLIED/AIR RELEASE C-FACE BRAKE
ENCLOSED SPRING APPLIED C-FACE BRAKE – features two friction surfaces to give high torque, better heat dissipation and longer service life. The brakes fit 56C, 143TC,145TC,184TC, 215TC and 245TC frame motors and reducers and are available in double C-face or C-face to the motor with a bearing mounted output shaft. All C-face products use o-rings as dynamic seals, therefore adequate lubrication must be provided in the air actuating circuit to ensure the 0-rings do not run dry.

The brakes fit 56C, 143TC,145TC,184TC AND 215TC frame motors and reducers and are available in double C-face or C-face to the motor with a bearing mounted output shaft.
MODEL SB SPRING APPLIED AIR RELEASED BRAKE – assembled in a totally enclosed housing that incorporates the C-face design for flexibility in mounting. When air pressure above 45psi is applied, the brake springs are compressed far enough to release the brake. The model SB is used in non-cyclic applications when long periods of holding torque are required.
